Andalucía TRADE promotes the expansion of the agricultural auxiliary industry in Thailand and Vietnam

 

From March 10 to 14, Andalucía TRADE led a crucial trade mission for seven Andalusian companies in the agricultural auxiliary industry, focusing on emerging markets Thailand and Vietnam. This strategic initiative, with a total of 83 bilateral meetings scheduled in Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok, aims to consolidate the position of Andalusian companies in the dynamic Asian agricultural sector.

En Vietnam 40 bilateral meetings were held between Andalusian firms and potential commercial and institutional partners. In addition, the Andalusian delegation had the opportunity to explore the latest innovations in the sector at the fair. Agritechnica Asia 2025, held for the first time in Vietnam, establishing strategic contacts for the future.

In Thailand, 43 B2B meetings were held, and the delegation received valuable information and support from the Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Spanish Embassy in Bangkok, Álvaro Gil-Navarro. This meeting strengthened business ties and provided a clear view of the opportunities in the Thai market.

“This mission represents a firm step in our internationalization strategy,” says a spokesperson for Andalucía TRADE. “We have provided our companies with an exceptional platform to showcase their technology and expertise in two markets with enormous growth potential.”

The coincidence with the fair Agritechnica Asia 2025, which brought together industry leaders from around the world, provided an unparalleled stage for the promotion of Andalusian agricultural technology and innovation. This internationally renowned event, with 48% of trade participants coming from 73 countries, underscored its importance as a hub for the global agricultural industry.

The participating Andalusian companies, from Almería, Cádiz, Seville and Málaga, represent the diversity and excellence of the region's agricultural sector. The trade mission has been co-financed with funds from the European Union, through the FEDER Operational Program of Andalusia 2021-2027, which underlines the EU's commitment to boosting Andalusian business competitiveness.

Andalusia TRADE reports highlight the rapid modernization of the Vietnamese agricultural sector, driven by the adoption of advanced farming techniques and the growing demand for innovative solutions. The Vietnamese government actively promotes the modernization of the sector, opening up a range of opportunities for Andalusian companies specializing in machinery, irrigation technology, fertilizers, and agricultural consulting.

“Vietnam is seeking advanced solutions to improve its agricultural efficiency and sustainability,” states a market analyst. “Andalusian companies, with their experience and technology, are well-positioned to meet this demand.”

Thailand, known as «The World's KitchenThailand is a giant in the production and export of agri-food products. The country is distinguished by its leadership in the production of tropical fruits and has placed the agri-food sector at the heart of its "Thailand 4.0" strategy, an ambitious plan to modernize the economy through innovation.

Thai demand for advanced agricultural technologies, such as smart irrigation systems, smart farming, and technologically optimized greenhouses, offers new avenues for expansion for Andalusian companies. Biofertilizers and state-of-the-art irrigation systems are emerging as strategic sectors for penetrating the Thai market.
“Thailand represents a key market for our companies,” explains a representative from one of the participating companies. “Its focus on innovation and sustainability aligns perfectly with our product and service offerings.”

Agritechnica Asia 2025Held in the Ho Chi Minh City SECC, brought together 10.500 visitors and 303 exhibitors from 30 countries. The fair, held jointly with HortEx Vietnam for the first time, consolidated its position as a strategic platform for the Southeast Asian agri-food sector.
