A strategic sector in Andalusia
Andalucía TRADE has organized more than 370 business meetings for companies in the green hydrogen sector within the framework of the I National Green Hydrogen Congress, which is held in Huelva from February 7 to 9.
The objective of these sessions is to promote national and international collaboration between companies to promote alliances, joint investments and the launch of new projects.
At the opening of the work day, the Minister of Economy, Finance and European Funds, Caroline Spain, has highlighted the importance of green hydrogen as a source of clean and sustainable energy, and has opted for collaboration between companies and institutions so that Andalusia is a leader in this sector.
For his part, the general director of Andalusia TRADE, Antonio Castro, explained that the public agency is making a set of services available to Andalusian companies to help them internationalize and to access new business opportunities in the green hydrogen sector.
The Congress includes more than 60 panelists, including the CEOs of leading companies in the sector, as well as top-level national and international speakers.
47 Andalusian companies in the green hydrogen sector
According to a technology surveillance report prepared by Andalucía TRADE, there are currently 47 Andalusian companies related to green hydrogen, most of them located in Seville. In addition, there are seven research groups and thirty scientific publications on this topic.
Meetings with companies from 12 countries
Andalucía TRADE has also organized a trade mission with green hydrogen companies and associations from 11 countries: United States, Chile, Australia, India, South Korea, Germany, Poland, Finland, Italy, Portugal and Morocco.
The foreign delegation has attended the Congress presentations and has participated in business meetings with the Andalusian companies.
Signing of an agreement with JETRO
Likewise, a meeting was held with around twenty professionals from Japanese companies in the green hydrogen sector, organized by JETRO, the body in charge of promote exports and attract investment in Japan.Within this framework, a collaboration agreement has been signed between JETRO and the Andalusian Hydrogen Cluster.
The First National Green Hydrogen Congress
The First National Green Hydrogen Congress has 900 people registered, as well as the presence of more than 300 companies, representatives of national and international associations, clusters and unified national valleys.
