Andalusia TRADE promotes the participation of Andalusian firms in multilateral projects in Argentina

A market of opportunity in different sectors

The country is preparing or implementing more than 204 projects worth more than 31.000 billion euros during 2023.

Andalucía TRADE has informed a total of 14 Andalusian companies about the various business opportunities in areas such as water, services, transportation, infrastructure or housing, among others, in Argentina, a market that receives the greatest number of multilateral supports from Latin America.

 

Specifically, some of the initiatives that are being carried out in the Argentine market come from the World Bank (WB), which has 38; and of Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), which has 166 projects in implementation, of which 78 are active.

 

In that sense, according to data from Andalusia TRADE-Business Agency for Economic Transformation and Development, Argentina stands as an opportunity market for Andalusian companies in sectors such as water and sanitation, transport, development, housing, agriculture and rural development, health, SME development, energy, education, environment or sustainable tourism. Currently, the country is immersed in the processing of funds with multilateral entities, such as those mentioned, IDB and World Bank; or the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) and United Nations, among others.

 

Through this informative event, the Andalusian firms have learned first-hand which projects are being executed in Argentina and those pending approval, in a day that has allowed the generation of synergies between the participants, who have been able to share contacts, experiences and collaboration opportunities to launch actions in the market.

 

Andalusian firms from around the world participated in the workshop. Almeria (Briseis Perfumes and Novasys Pharma), Seville (Eskz Global, Forwit Soluciones & Strategies, Cener and Black Oak), Malaga (Fumi-Hogar, Pds Internacional, Intandem and AMM Servicios Global Group Bilateral Platform) Granada (OCD and Laminatur) Cadiz (Aid Corp) and Jaen (Global Security Boulders). The organization of this action by Extenda-Andalusia Export and Foreign Investment will be co-financed with funds from the European Union the PO FEDER of Andalusia 2014-2020, endowed with a community contribution of 80%, or any other European Program capable of co-financing this action.

Andalusia, the CCAA that is growing the most in Argentina

The Argentine market is a potential destination for Andalusian companies since, according to reports from Andalucía TRADE, in the first five months of 2023 the community invoiced a total of 53 million in exports, with more than double the sales than in the same period of the previous year, thanks to an increase of 148% (147 points above the national average ). This is an invoice for which a total of 121 export companies that operated in Argentina in this period are responsible.

 

Andalusia, furthermore, is the community that is growing the most at a national level, and becomes the third largest exporter, with 10,4% of total sales, only surpassed by Catalonia (32%), and the Valencian Community (12% ); and it is the community that contributes the most to national growth (+1,6%).

 

New actions 2023

Andalusian companies are called to continue growing with Andalucía TRADE in two actions of interest that are going to be held in the month of October for the sector, such as the VIII State Meeting of Spanish Bidders, which will take place in Seville; and a direct mission to Buenos Aires (Argentina).
