Andalucía TRADE Leads the Internationalization of the Andalusian Aerospace Cluster at the Paris Air Show – Le Bourget

 

El Paris Air Show – Le Bourget, which is celebrated from June 16 to 22 in France, is the scenario chosen by Andalucía TRADE to give a significant boost to the internationalization of the Andalusian aerospace clusterThis initiative underlines the commitment of the Andalusian Government to a sector that, in 2024, registered a notable growth of 34 %, exceeding the national average by four points and reaching 2.811 million euros in sales.

 

The Business Agency for Economic Transformation and Development has organized a large participation, with 14 companies de Seville, Cadiz and Huelva present at the Andalusia stand. This figure represents the double companies compared to the 2023 edition, which demonstrates the growing interest and potential of the sector in the region. Andalusian firms will have the opportunity to participate in an extensive agenda of B2B meetings y networking activities, designed to forge strategic, technological and commercial alliances, as well as to identify potential partners in R&D&I projects at European and international levels.

 

The institutional presence will be headed by Caroline Spain, Minister of Economy, Finance and European Funds and President of Andalucía TRADE. On June 19, the Minister will present the Center for Innovation in Advanced Manufacturing Technologies (CFA), an industrial center in Puerto Real (Cádiz) conceived as a national benchmark for technological innovation in advanced sectors such as aerospace, naval and railway.

 

In addition, Carolina España will announce the Eighth edition of Aerospace & Defense Meetings (ADM Seville), which will take place in May 2026. This event, consolidated as the most important aerospace business meeting in southern Europe, is organized in collaboration with BCI Aerospace. The minister will also hold a series of key meetings with international companies and stakeholders in the sector, and will visit companies already established or with strategic interests in Andalusia.

 

The Minister of Economy, Carolina España, will highlight the presentation of the innovative Center for Innovation in Advanced Manufacturing Technologies and the upcoming edition of ADM Seville 2026.

 

The VIII edition of ADM Sevilla will commemorate its 13th anniversary at Fibes, maintaining its objective of exploring and enhancing the opportunities of an industry where Andalusia is positioned as the second largest national exporting community, almost monopolizing one in three euros that Spain sells (29,8%) and is the second largest contributor to national growth, with 9,9%.

 

The 2025 Paris Air Show promises to surpass the figures of 2023, when contracts worth $150.000 billion were closed. 2.500 exhibitors from 48 countries, more of 300.000 unique visitors, 300 startups from 21 countries, and exhibitions with 150 aircraft and 210 flights.

 

Among the Andalusian companies The following companies will be exhibiting at this important trade event at the Andalusia stand: Andalucía Aerospace, Grabysur, Airtificial Aerospace & Defense Engineering, Aerotecnic Metallic, Integración Tecnológica Empresarial, Inventia Kinetics, Aerosm 4.0, Aercal Aerospace, Skylife Engineering, Canagrosa Lab and Services, CITD Aerópolis, and Sofitec Aero from Seville; Mecanizados y Montajes Aeronauticos from Cádiz; and Dovetail Electric Aviation from Huelva. Participation is expected to be co-financed with ERDF funds from the European Union 2021-2027, with a community contribution of 85%.

 

Outside of the space organized by Andalucía TRADE, other firms from the Andalusian cluster and companies with a presence in the region will also attend the fair, such as Aciturri-Alestis (Seville), Aernnova (Seville), Aertec (Malaga), Atlas by Catec (Jaén), GMV (Seville), Mades (Malaga), ITP Aero (Seville), Grupo Oesía (Seville), Heroux Devtec (Seville), Fidamc (Cádiz) and Lamaignere Cargo (Seville).

 

Andalusia TRADE and the aeronautical sector: a strategic alliance

 

Andalucía TRADE maintains close collaboration with the cluster Andalusia Aerospace, jointly defining actions in strategic markets such as India, Germany, Mexico, France, Italy, Morocco and the United Kingdom. This alliance materialized in the support for the internationalization of 116 aeronautical companies who participated in 125 activities, 30 of which were specifically designed for the sector, highlighting ADM 2024, which attracted 1.343 professionals and generated some 8.700 business meetings.

 

In 2025, key initiatives have already been carried out such as the first edition of Andalusia Aero Day In May, organized with Andalucía Aerospace at Aerópolis, which brought together more than 250 professionals and agents from the US, Italy, China, Switzerland, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia. The conference also collaborated with ASIDIC-International Conference on Aerospace Structural Impact Dynamics.

 

For the rest of the year, actions are planned: Capabilities Important initiatives include participation in trade shows such as Aeromart Toulouse, Aerospace & Defense Meetings in Italy, and Space Tech Expo in Germany, as well as trade missions to France, Germany, the United States, Italy, Morocco, and other markets of interest. These initiatives seek to strengthen alliances, promote business opportunities, and consolidate the sector's global presence.

 

These activities are coordinated through an agreement signed by Carolina España, in her capacity as president of Andalucía TRADE, and Antonio Gómez Guillamón, president of Andalucía Aerospace, establishing the cluster as a collaborating entity of the agency.

 

Andalusia, booming exports

 

Andalusia is a key pillar of the European aerospace industry, and, along with Toulouse and Hamburg, is the only hub with a final assembly line (FAL) for a large aircraft, the Airbus A400M. This significantly boosts the sector's international activity.

 

According to data from Andalucía TRADE, the exports of the Andalusian aeronautical industry they reached the 2.811 million euros in 2024, which means a year-on-year growth of 34 %, four points above the national average (+30%). This strengthens Andalusia as the second largest exporting community in the sector in Spain, concentrating the 29,8 % of total national sales (9.424 million), only surpassed by the Community of Madrid (50%) and far ahead of the Basque Country (6,8%).

 

In addition, Andalusia contributed with the 9,9% of national growth of the sector, being the second largest contribution after Madrid. The Andalusian aerospace sector also achieved its best historical contribution to the regional trade balance, with a surplus of 1.773 millones de euros. Seville, for its part, remains the epicenter of Andalusian aeronautics, concentrating the 98% of exports of the region.
