It will blend the new with the old
The 14th Antiques and Works of Art Fair, to be held at the Palma Airport Exhibition Centre from March 1st to 9th, 2008, is preparing a new feature: a space that will combine cutting-edge decor with antiques. It will be an area where contemporary design will be interwoven with the exquisite elegance of furniture from our ancestors.
In the two thousand square meters occupied by the AnticArt 2008 exhibition, visitors will once again have the opportunity to admire extraordinary antiques, unusual and collectible objects. They will also find unique pieces from other eras, steeped in history and memories, as well as a large selection of contemporary paintings and sculptures. Art Deco furniture and objects, Victorian/Elizabethan furniture, and even American oak office furniture reminiscent of black and white crime films can be found. Jewelry from various periods, toys, clothing, and sporting goods, along with a wide variety of products spanning from the 16th century to the present day, are also on display.
To complement the exhibition, a series of lectures are planned. Furthermore, as has become customary, AnticArt features the participation of a guest museum; this year it will be the extensive collection of ancient art at the Capuchin Convent in Palma.
