The National Infrastructure Agency (MEMOIR) has awarded to the consortium formed by Ardanuy Engineering and GOC, the supervision of the Ruta del Sol Sector III Concession contract; one of the most relevant road infrastructure works in Colombia of the last ten years.
For Ardanuy Engineering, this award strengthens its trajectory in Colombia, a strategic country for the company where it has participated in other large-scale special transportation projects in recent years.
This highway currently constitutes one of the two road arteries that connects the productive and industrial center of the country with the ports of the Caribbean Sea. The Ruta del Sol is a 1.071 kilometer road that connects the city of Bogotá with the Atlantic Coast and on its route it crosses eight departments and 39 municipalities. Due to its extension, the works have been divided into three sections in order to carry out dual carriageway, rehabilitation and maintenance works. Sector III has a length of 465 kilometers of dual carriageway and passes through the departments of Cesar, Magdalena and Bolívar. The objective of the Ruta del Sol is to reduce travel times, both for passengers and goods.
To Ardanuy Engineering This award strengthens its trajectory in Colombia, a strategic country for the company where in recent years it has participated in other large special transportation projects such as the supervision of the works of the Avenida 80 subway in Medellín, the project RegioTram or the study of the construction of the Caribbean Regional Train, among others. In addition, it has two delegations in Bogotá and Medellín.
