La Ministry of Economy, Finance, European Funds and Social Dialogue of the Regional Government of Andalusia, through Andalucía TRADE, has marked Canada as a priority market, including it in its Export Diversification Plan in response to tariff tensions with the US.
Special Support and Incentives for Foreign Trade
Andalusian companies that decide to enter the Canadian market will benefit from a special support, which covers up to the 75% of expenses in promotional activities, such as trade fairs and market research trips. This measure is supported by the Order of Incentives to Support Foreign Trade.
A key factor that underscores the importance of this market is the presence of two locations of the Andalucía TRADE International Network in Canada, located in Montreal and TorontoThis deployment is unique, sharing only with the U.S. the distinction of having more than one office in the same country, allowing coverage of both the Anglophone and Francophone markets in the North American country.

Export Growth and Trade Balance
According to data from Andalucía TRADE, trade with Canada reached 376 millones de euros in the first eight months of the current year.
Andalusia consolidates its position as the second exporting community in Spain to Canada in 2025, with a quota of 15,5% of the national totalAndalusian exports totaled 227 millones de euros, experiencing a growth of 5,8% compared to the same period last year. This increase contrasts with the 16% drop recorded across Spain as a whole.
One relevant fact is that Andalusia maintains a net positive trade balance with Canada, with a surplus of 78 millones de euros and a remarkable coverage rate of 153%, almost doubling the national average (78%), which, on the contrary, registers a trade deficit.
This growth is driven by the opportunities created after the entry into force of Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) between the EU and Canada, which has allowed the country to climb the ranks to the since 18º at the ranking of markets in Andalusia.
Leading Products and Provincial Distribution
The main products exported by Andalusia to Canada have been the aircraft, spacecraft and their parts, with a value of 40 million euros (17,8%). It is closely followed by olive oil, which with 35 million euros (15,2%) registers a solid 15,7% increase, and the fuels and mineral oilswhich have had a spectacular increase in 707%, reaching 38 million euros (16,7%).
