The Canary Islands' technological ecosystem was presented to some thirty leading companies from Germany, in a trade mission led by Proexca (Canary Islands Economic Development Society) with the aim of positioning the archipelago as a strategic and diversified investment center.

Proexca's CEO, Pablo Martín Carbajal, led the delegation, presenting the advantages of the islands for the expansion of German technology businesses. The first day took place at the Spanish Embassy in Berlin, a setting that served to highlight the evolution of the Canary Islands' economy towards diversification and its commitment to strategic sectors that seek economic sustainability.
"The German market is of great importance to Canary Islands companies and vice versa. Both territories have much to offer each other in order to continue growing and remaining competitive in the global market," Martín Carbajal stated during his speech.
The agenda included presentations, the screening of a promotional video, and panel discussions on topics crucial to business establishment, such as taxation, expatriate management, connectivity, education, and the processing of permits and licenses.
The day culminated with a round of specific meetings The event concluded with a tasting of Canarian wines and cheeses, in collaboration with GMR Canarias, and included German companies that expressed a high level of interest in establishing themselves in the Canary Islands.
The mission replicated its success the following day in Frankfurt, with the collaboration of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in the city.
This initiative is part of the communication strategy for the internationalization of the Canary Islands economy, under the slogan “Canary Islands, your best version”, which brings together the efforts of various agents and sectors to achieve this growth objective.
