Agri-food research and innovation systems in the world

The publication analyzes how research and innovation have evolved in recent decades in different countries and regions, such as the United States, the European Union, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Israel, New Zealand, China and Spain itself, with the help of experts in each of these geographical areas and their role as decisive tools in the current context.

Next Thursday, December 11at 12 pmCajamar will present the publication 'Agri-food research and innovation systems in the world', coordinated by Tomás García Azcárate, PhD in Agricultural Engineering specializing in CAP and agri-food markets, at the Institute of Engineering of Spain in Madrid.

 

This event, which is part of the initiatives to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Cajamar Experimental Station in Las PalmerillasThe Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Counselor at the Spanish Embassy in Italy and Deputy Permanent Representative to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) will participate. Fernando MirandaBased on their vision, the major challenges that will shape the coming decades will be addressed, and the key role that research and innovation must play in meeting global food needs will be discussed.

 

The presentation will also include the president of Cajamar, Eduardo Baamonde; the Director of Sustainability and Agri-food Development at Grupo Cajamar, Roberto García Torrente; the president of the Institute of Engineering of Spain, Maria Cruz Diaz; the founder of the Enthalpy Awards, Claudia Múgica; the emeritus professor of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Julian Briz, and the tenured university professor at the Higher Technical School of Agricultural, Food and Biosystems Engineering of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Isabel de Felipe.
