GMV will launch a turnkey project which will include an exploitation aid system (SAE), a user information system (SIU), on-board video surveillance and an emergency call system (eCall) for Grupo Ruiz buses that cover the Portuguese city.
In relation to the SAE system, GMV will equip the vehicles with its REC30 equipment that will bring together the on-board communications and location functions, using a TFT console as an interface with the driver. In the control center Ruiz Group, GMV will supply its SAE server and an advanced operator station for system management. In addition, 5 additional operator positions will be provided for the municipality of Cascais, following the requirements of the concession of which Grupo Ruiz has been awarded.
The onboard user information system will display information to the passenger through a TFT screen and will connect to the interior LED panel and exterior LED panel of the bus. In addition, GMV will provide standardized information to the stop information panels that are not the subject of this supply. The video surveillance system will equip Grupo Ruiz buses with 4 IP cameras in conventional buses and with 3 IP cameras in minibuses. The REC30 on-board SAE equipment will also act as an on-board video recorder in connection with the plant's video surveillance software. In addition, some relevant additional functionalities are included as peripherals of the SAE system, among which the passenger counting with sensors at the entrance and exit doors of the bus stands out, which will allow occupancy to be known at all times.
Within the framework of the project, an eCall system will also be implemented allowing emergency services to react immediately.
Within the scope of the project there is also the implementation of an eCall system in the same Cascais bus fleet. This system will provide buses with a system capable of establishing a connection with the 112 emergency call center, in the event of a potential accident being detected or at the request of the bus driver, allowing the emergency services to react appropriately. immediate.
The system includes the EP100 onboard equipment, which is responsible for detecting, through the information coming from the inertial system and the vehicle's CAN bus (*), the potential accident in order to make the connection, both voice and data, with the emergency center. Through the data connection, the on-board system sends essential information such as the location, time of the accident and the vehicle identification number, while through the voice channel, the driver and vehicle occupants can communicate with the operator. of 112. The driver will also have a button, so that if necessary, he can immediately establish a connection with the emergency center, without the need for an accident to have occurred.
