The government of Castilla-La Mancha, through the Foreign Promotion Institute (IPEX), promotes the group visit of companies in the candy sector at the “YUMMEX 2021 FAIR”.

La Yummex Middle East is an international fair specialized in the candy industry and held once a year in Dubai. During the exhibition days, producers and manufacturers of cocoa, chocolate, sweets, cookies and snacks hold meetings with potential clients for their products. Visitors have the opportunity to learn about products from the international sector and Middle East. The last edition in 2018, the fair had 283 exhibitors from 43 countries and 8.585 visitors from 111 countries.

Castilla-La Mancha supports the visit of 5 companies as visitors so that they can learn about market trends. United Arab Emirates and work on future business opportunities. Companies in the region will have an institutional stand Castilla la Mancha inside the Spanish pavilion that organizes fairy tale and where they can hold meetings and exhibit samples of their products.

 

In the confectionery segment, the highest global growth rates are forecast for the region MENA (Middle East and North Africa). Many companies have recognized the great potential of the market. In 2020, around 129,3 million euros in Spanish food and beverage products were exported, increasing by 10,29% in 2020 compared to 2019, being the 35th destination of our exports. Country number 25 in 2020 in the ranking of countries to which we export the most in both “cocoa, chocolate and confectionery” and “biscuits and long-life bakery and pastry products”, with an increase in 2020 of 27,37% of sales of cookies and bakery products compared to 2019.
