A delegation from Extremadura led by the general director of Foreign Action, Rosa Balas, and the general director of Extremadura Avante, Miguel Bernal, have held a series of meetings in Dubai with companies and institutions from the UAE.
Nine companies from Extremadura have participated in the fair Yummex en Dubai, dedicated to sweets and snacks, and three other Extremaduran companies participating in the trade mission organized by Avante They have maintained an intense agenda of meetings with potential Emirati buyers and distributors.
Rosa Balas and Miguel Bernal, together with the Spanish ambassador to the Arab Emirates and his entire team, analyzed the business opportunities, as well as the complementarities of both territories.
Balas and Bernal have also met with the commissioner of the Spanish pavilion in Expo Dubai, Carmen Bueno, and its director of institutional relations and protocol, Hector Salvador, to plan the activities that will take place during the week of Extremadura at the Expo.
The general director of Foreign Action has indicated that "this visit is part of a roadmap that does not end with the presence of Extremadura at the Expo, but is the beginning of a long-term strategic relationship with the area."
In this sense, it is worth highlighting that of the meetings that have taken place with the Economic and Commercial Office of the Spanish Embassy as well as with the Spanish Business Council, the lines of work have been outlined to define the priority sectors of collaboration in the economic and commercial sphere.
For his part, the general director of Extremadura Avante has indicated that "the experience in renewable energies and our agri-food production make our region attractive for Emirati investments and we will work to bring them to fruition in joint business projects."
In the meetings held, the attractiveness of Extremaduran production for the emirati market, so since Avante commercial actions will be intensified that allow a substantial increase in exports to that country.
