Técnicas Reunidas and its Emirati partner Target are awarded a contract for 950 million dollars in Abu Dhabi

The scope of the project consists of the design and execution of the land facilities necessary for the processing of gas from the Dalma field, on the northwest coast of the country.

The award is part of the granting of Ghasha, the world's largest offshore sour gas development. The shareholders of the Ghasha concession are ADNOC (55%), the Italian ENI (25%), the German Wintershall (10%), the Austrian OMV (5%) and the Russian Lukoil (5%).

 

The award was signed today by ADNOC's Upstream Executive Director, the Mr. Yaser Saeed Almazrouei, within ADIPEC (Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference), one of the most important international meetings in the energy sector, which began on the 15th in the Arab country.

 

The Ghasha Concession

 

The Ghasha field consists of several fields with significant gas reserves still in the development phase (Hail, Ghasha, Hair Dalma, Satah, Bu Haseer, Nasr, SARB, Shuwaihat and Mubarraz), which have been identified by ADNOC in the northwest of the country.

 

The project is expected to be completed in 2025 and will allow the Dalma field to produce around 340 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd) of natural gas, an amount equivalent to 11% of Spain's annual natural gas consumption.

 

The Dalma marine field is located 190 kilometers northwest of the emirate of Abu Dhabi. The natural gas produced will be an important engine to allow the gas self-sufficiency of the United Arab Emirates.

 

The signing of the contract took place today within the framework of ADIPEC (Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference), one of the most important meetings in the energy sector on a global scale, held in the Arab country.

 

The contract awarded to Técnicas Reunidas and Target

 

The amount of the contract obtained by Técnicas Reunidas and its local partner Target It is about 950 million dollars. Of this amount, 510 million dollars correspond to Técnicas Reunidas.

It is a contract EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) which covers the engineering, supply and construction of gas conditioning facilities for dehydration, compression and associated utilities on the island of Arzanah, located 80 kilometers from Abu Dhabi.
