ADER offers a new international legal advice service for Rioja companies, on foreign trade and export issues.

 

El Government of La Rioja, through the Economic Development Agency of La Rioja, has created a free service international legal advice intended to inform Rioja companies about relevant topics related to domestic trade and exports.

 

The ADER internationalization unit will provide a general advisory service on the four most important contractual groups in terms of foreign trade and on general advice on matters of tax aspects. In this way, information will be offered on the most common aspects and doubts among Rioja companies interested in exporting.

 

Specifically, information will be addressed and provided on the following matters:

 

Advice to control the impact of the war conflict between Russia and Ukraine in the commercial interests of Riojan companies. At this point we will try to address aspects of relevant topics such as supplies, the situation of facilities or commercial companies in those countries, the difficulty in complying with obligations or demanding rights or sanctions, among other points.

 

Base contracts for export or import (international sales contract or distribution or agency contract). This service will inform the company of the basic aspects of this matter, which may arise from complex distribution contracts to the case of a simple exporter who wants to have a general idea, with a simple product. On the other hand, in the event that the company has had a conflict, either of a non-contentious nature or already of a contentious nature, it will be offered basic advice on the applicable law, the competent jurisdiction, general designs, etc.

 

Transportation contracts to do business abroadIn relation to this axis, advice will be provided, in general, on matters related to transporting merchandise outside the place where it is produced and how this business is articulated with the base business.

 

Insurance contracts for both merchandise and liabilities (insolvency, contingency...).

 

Guarantee or payment business (documentary credits, documentary remittances...). In the international market, spot operations are exceptional, which is why they are generally financed. For this reason, general advice will be provided on matters of guarantee or guarantee and payment businesses (documentary credits, documentary remittances, etc.) that normally involve foreign trade operations.

In this way, the regional Executive once again shows that it attends and responds to the demands of the business community at different stages, also to reinforce its international development, even in the most complicated moments. Thus, through ADER, an international legal advisory service has been created for the adaptation of contracts and contractual conditions established with international clients and suppliers that may have been affected by the war.
