CEI·MAR and CMMA will analyze in cross-border conferences how to promote innovation and sustainability in coastal tourism

The conference will be an excellent opportunity to address how to promote innovative and sustainable processes in companies that are dedicated to coastal and maritime tourism and have been designed with a comprehensive perspective.

[Img # 47598]El Campus of International Excellence of the Sea (CEI·MAR) and the Maritime-Marine Cluster of Andalusia (CMMA) have organized the Spain-Portugal cross-border technical conferences 'Innovation and sustainability in coastal and maritime tourism.

 

Projects, barriers and opportunities for growth', an event included in the European project Atlazul, of which both organizations are partners, and which will take place next Thursday, June 16, starting at 10.00:XNUMX a.m., at the MIM Sotogrande Club Marítimo Hotel, in Puerto Sotogrande (San Roque, Cádiz).

 

The conferences will be an excellent opportunity to address how to promote innovative and sustainable processes in companies that are dedicated to coastal and maritime tourism and have been designed with a comprehensive perspective, promoting the exchange of experience and debate in different subsegments of Blue Tourism. The panel of experts also has prestigious personalities in this area and there will also be a 'Blue Meetcooking', starring two outstanding chefs, one Portuguese and one Spanish, to show the paths of innovation that kitchen professionals follow in the field of Blue Gastronomy, as one of the fundamental sectors with the most future within Blue Tourism.

 

Accreditations can be collected from 9.30:10.00 am and at XNUMX:XNUMX the inauguration will take place by the general coordinator of the CEI·MAR, Dario Bernal, the president of the CMMA, javier noriega, the general secretary of Foreign Action of the Junta de Andalucía, Enrique Millo Rocher, and the managing director of Puerto Sotogrande, Miguel Angel Diez.

 

At 10.30:XNUMX a.m., the first workshop will take place with the title 'Innovation for the valorization of historical and cultural heritage in coastal and maritime tourism. Application of innovation and technologies in the definition of points of interest and the tourist product or service'. The historian and archaeologist will participate Carlota Pérez-Reverte, the curator and restorer of the Museum of Cádiz, Luis Carlos Zambrana, the CEO of the Arathea group and president of the CMMA, Javier noriega (also an archaeologist), and the director of the Department of History, Geography and Philosophy of the University of Cádiz, Manuel Arcila Garrido.

The director of Tourism and Business Development of Tourism and Planning Costa del Sol, Pedro Barrionuevo, the manager of the Benalmádena Diving Club-Andalusian Institute of Professional Diving, Manuel Crespo, the manager of Turismo Marinero Costa del Sol, Sonhia Cruz, Mar Recuna, manager of the CMMA, as well as two other business representatives, one from the salt mines sector in Western Andalusia and a second from a Portuguese company from Deporte Azul.
