The first vice president and Minister of Economy, Industry and Innovation, Francisco Conde, participated in Porto in the Spertus meeting on energy transition and industrial competitiveness.

The first vice president and councilor for Economy, Industry and Innovation, Francisco Conde, has presented in the Spertus forum on energy transition and competitiveness, the industrial agenda of Galicia, which has among its priorities the promotion of renewables and energy efficiency in homes, companies and the Administration itself, promoting self-consumption and energy communities.
Conde recalled that this week the Budgets of the Economic Vice Presidency of the Xunta, which will allocate seven out of every ten euros, up to a total of 360 million euros, of the 524 million it has as a budget, to the development of the industrial agenda for Galicia of 2030.
As he said, it revolves around two key elements, which are digitalization and sustainability to promote the double energy and digital transformation in the Galician productive fabric. Therefore, another priority will be to promote innovation in companies and ensure that investment projects in Galicia have all the necessary incentives and accompanying measures, such as Administrative Simplification Law.
The economic vice president alluded to the opportunity presented by European funds Next Generation to achieve these objectives. And, in that sense, he recalled that Galicia has prepared a solid candidacy of projects that reflect the commitment that the Xunta wants to make to promote sustainability and innovation in the Galician industry.
Strategic projects linked to the circular economy, such as that of Altri (€800 M), or the fertilizer manufacturing plant of Reganosa, Repsol and Naturgy (€146 M). With new renewable energy sources such as green hydrogen, biogas or offshore wind, such as the hydrogen plant in Reganosa and EDP nas Pontes (€156 M), or the structure of Nerve (€25 M) for offshore wind in Ferrol. Also linked to biotechnology, such as projects zendal (€111 million), Indukern (€33 M) and Lonza (€200 M). With the agri-food sector, such as Estrella Galicia (€410 million), depth (105 M€) or jealsa (€112 M). And with the mobility of the future, like that of Stellantis (600 M€) or Showa Denko (€ 300 million).
All of them, he added, are aligned with European priorities and the Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Government of Spain and are the engine of sustainable transformation in Galicia. For this reason, he has assured that the Government will do everything possible to ensure that they benefit from this aid.
