The president of CEOE International, Marta Blanco, has met with the ambassador of Malaysia in Spain, Akmal Che Mustafa, to analyze the evolution of business relations between both countries during the last four years.

At the meeting, held at the headquarters of CEOE International in Madrid, both parties have agreed that economic and business relations between Spain and Malaysia have been growing steadily in recent years, despite the difficult international context.

The Malaysian ambassador has highlighted the Spanish business presence in your country and how it has evolved during these four years. Specifically, he has pointed out that the number of Spanish companies established in Malaysia has increased by 20% during this period, reaching 200.

He has also highlighted the political stability that Malaysia offers and the process of reforms and incentives that the government has developed to encourage foreign investment. In this sense, he has emphasized the opportunities offered by the infrastructure, digitalization and innovation sectors, where Spanish companies have great business and investment opportunities.

For her part, the President of CEOE International has highlighted the resilience of business relations between Spain and Malaysia, despite the difficult international context.

In this sense, he pointed out that trade exchanges between both countries have increased by 25% over the last four years, reaching 2.500 billion euros.

However, both parties have agreed that there is still ample room for improvement and growth in these figures.

In this sense, the importance of recovering trips and visits in both directions has been highlighted, both at a business and institutional level.
