La Xunta de Galicia, through the Galician Institute for Economic Promotion (Igape), organizes an institutional trip to Uruguay with the aim of promoting commercial relations between both regions. The director of Igape, Covadonga Toca, heads the Galician delegation, which is made up of representatives of companies and business associations.
The trip is part of the celebration of World Meeting of Galician Entrepreneurs in UruguayOrganized by the Association of Galician Businessmen of Uruguay (AEGU). The event will take place between November 16 and 18 in Montevideo y Punta del Este
Galician exports to Uruguay have shown an upward trend in recent years
The objective of the trip is to expand the business possibilities of Galician companies in Uruguay. The South American country offers significant growth potential and business opportunities in sectors such as construction, naval or food.
Galician exports to Uruguay have shown an upward trend in recent years. In the last five years, foreign sales to Uruguay have increased by 47,8%, reaching 30 million euros.
During the trip, the director of Igape will hold meetings with businessmen, unions and the Uruguayan public administration. The objective is to strengthen commercial links between both regions and promote new commercial alliances.
