Future avenues of collaboration are explored

The meeting between CACIF and CEOE opens new opportunities for collaboration between Spain and Guatemala

The president of the Coordinating Committee of Agricultural, Commercial, Industrial and Financial Associations-CACIF of Guatemala, Ignacio Lejárraga, met with the general secretary of CEOE, José Alberto González-Ruiz, and other prominent representatives of the Spanish Business Confederation.

Lejarraga, accompanied by a delegation of CACIF, He worked a full day at CEOE, where they addressed topics such as social dialogue, equality in the workplace, internationalization of MSMEs, support for self-employed workers and corporate social action.

 

in the meeting with González-Ruiz, the structure and operation of CEOE were analyzed, as well as the different activities carried out by the Confederation. Both parties highlighted the importance of sharing good practices and positive experiences, especially in the current context of uncertainty.

 

Lejárraga also met with the president of the CEOE Foundation, Fátima Báñez; with el president of the Association of Self-Employed Workers-ATA, lorenzo love; with the secretary general of CEPYME, Luis Aribayos and with the director of the Department of Economics and director of the Institute of Economic Studies, Gregorio Izquierdo.

 

During the meetings, the president of CACIF was able to learn first-hand about the initiatives that have been undertaken in favor of the internationalization of MSMEs in Spain; the projects and proposals that are on the table for the self-employed; and the main objectives of the CEOE Foundation.

 

Activities in Ibero-America: the importance of collaboration

 

The permanent secretary of the Ibero-American Business Council-CEIB, Narciso Casado, analyzed with Lejárraga the next activities to be developed in the region. In this sense, he mentioned the I Ibero-American Congress of Sustainable, Inclusive and Fair Tourism that will be held from March 19 to 21 in Cancún, and the XV Ibero-American Business Meeting, which will take place in November in Cuenca, Ecuador.

 

“We hope to have a large delegation from Guatemala for this new business event, one of the most important for the region,” Casado stressed.
