The Spanish company Herta, specialized in facial recognition systems, has announced the successful implementation of its software in Indian Railways, making it the largest project of its kind in the world.

 

The initial phase of the project is being carried out at 230 stations in eastern India. Following the success of this implementation, has awarded Herta two additional regions: the western and the northern.

 

Herta has partners in 50 countries and more than 250 certified integrators around the world

 

Herta's system allows the identification of people in real time, sending automatic alerts to the authorities if any incident is detected. In addition, it offers efficient monitoring and is easy to use by railway personnel.
