The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food of Spain will participate in the international event Spain Fusion Tokyo 2024, which will be held on September 11, with the aim of promoting the quality and diversity of Spanish food in Japan, one of the most demanding markets in the world.
The meeting will feature the participation of internationally renowned Spanish chefs, such as Quique Dacosta, Joan Roca, Andoni Luis Aduriz, Periko Ortega and Alfonso Fernández, who will offer master classes and live demonstrations. During the event, Spanish products that are not yet available on the Japanese market will be presented, giving attendees the opportunity to taste them and talk directly with their producers.
In addition to the culinary displays, the Master of Wine Fernando Mora and Naoto Watanabe, Japan Cured Ham Association, will lead a pairing session between Spanish red wines and Iberian products. There will also be tastings of olive oils, vinegars and preserves, as well as pairings with white wines.
The day will conclude with an exclusive tasting dinner for the press, organized by Spanish chefs and Japanese restaurants with the "Restaurant from Spain"This series of activities is part of the campaign"Spain Food Nation", which seeks to strengthen Spain's image as a world leader in gastronomy and food quality.
According to the Ministry, these actions "contribute to consolidating the prestige of Spanish foods in the international market, transmitting confidence, security and satisfaction."
