Four Valencian publishers are participating in this initiative, which aims to promote the creation of businesses and synergies with the japanese market, especially through the sale of translation rights and collaboration agreements.

The general director of Entrepreneurship and Internationalization, Ester Olivas, has highlighted that this is the first mission focused on these cultural sectors and that it responds to the growing interest in Japan for Spanish culture and language. He also pointed out that the mission has a busy agenda of 30 confirmed meetings with 15 Japanese companies, organized by the Ivace+i office in Japan.

Olivas stressed: “The Japanese market was selected due to the great interest that the Japanese public has in European comic and illustrated book production, especially for children, as well as the reception of Japanese comics and manga in Spain.” The activities include meetings, networking and presentations with the aim of consolidating commercial relations that promote the internationalization of the Valencian cultural sector.
