This initiative, which took place between 15 and 19 September, sought to promote the internationalisation of Valladolid wines in the Japanese market, one of the largest importers of Spanish wine in Asia.

Ten wineries in the province of Valladolid have successfully completed a Direct trade mission to JapanOrganized by the Chamber of Valladolid in collaboration with Spanish-Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Provincial Council of Valladolid.
For five days, the participating wineries, including Boutique Wines, Malcaracter, Javier Sanz Viticultor and Bodegas Peñafiel, among others, held strategic meetings with importers, sommeliers and key players in the Japanese wine sector. The program included tastings and product presentations at prestigious institutions such as the Academie du Vin in Tokyo and Osaka, where the region's wines received praise for their quality.
“The growth potential of Spanish wines in Japan is enormous,” said the organizers, who see this trade mission as a key opportunity to consolidate commercial relations and expand the presence of Valladolid wines in Asia.
The participating wineries were optimistic about the results of this initiative, stressing that the experience has opened doors for future commercial agreements in the competitive Asian market.
