From September 26 to 29, 2024, Japan will host the Tokyo Game Show, one of the most important trade shows in the video game industry, where companies such as PlayStation, Microsoft, Capcom and SEGA will present their latest developments.

This year, four prominent Canarian companies have taken advantage of this platform to showcase their talent and seek strategic alliances, with the support of Proexca and ARCADEV (Canarian Regional Association for the Development of Electronic Sports and Video Games).
Drakhar Studio, Innovation Factory, Foxter Studio and Quantum Box Games, accompanied by representatives of the foundations of eSports of the Tenerife Sports Club and the Las Palmas Sports Union, are part of the Canary Islands delegation. Their presence not only seeks to promote their own developments, but also to position the Canary Islands as a hub for the video game industry and the creation of digital content.
This trade mission opens up new opportunities for Canarian companies in a key market such as Japan, recognised worldwide for its technological innovation.
During the days leading up to the event, Canarian companies participated in the Spain Game Matsuri, a networking event organized by the ICEX and JETRO, where local talent was showcased to a Japanese audience. In addition, B2B meetings were held within the framework of the Tokyo Game Show, with the aim of attracting investment and forging alliances with international studios.
Participation in this fair represents a further step in the internationalisation strategy of the Canary Islands video game sector. "Institutional support is key to consolidating the Canary Islands as a benchmark in the creation of digital content and diversifying our economy," said a representative of Proexca.
