Spain and India have taken a step forward in their economic collaboration during the Spain-India Business Meeting, celebrated on Mumbai, The inauguration was carried out by the President of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, and the Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India, Nitin Jairam Gadkari, who highlighted the potential of the strategic sectors that were the focus of the event. “This meeting strengthens the Indo-Spanish Corridor, opening doors to key investments and strategic alliances,” they noted.

 

The meeting, organized by ICEX - Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade along with the CEOE, the Chamber of Commerce of Spain and the commercial offices in India, was attended by 250 entrepreneurs from both countries, who explored new opportunities for collaboration in digitalization, renewable energy and advanced mobility.

Among the sectoral sessions, he highlighted "Digital Transformation with AI: Business Synergies between Spain and India", in which companies such as Amadeus Labs India and Denodo analyzed the impact of artificial intelligence on both markets. For its part, the session "Advanced Mobility: Innovation in Smart Cities" He stressed the development of sustainable cities, while "Strengthening the Future: New Energies for a Sustainable World" addressed the future of clean energy with the participation of companies such as Techniques Reunidas and ReNew.

 

India, with its rapid economic growth, is consolidating its position as a priority destination for Spanish investments. Currently, more than 230 Spanish companies operate in the country in sectors such as engineering, automotive and energy. The meeting concluded with a networking lunch and nearly 100 B2B meetings, where Spanish businessmen and their Indian counterparts discussed possible alliances and projects in the Indian market.

 

This business forum strengthens collaboration between both nations, laying the foundations for sustainable growth and joint innovation in the coming years.
