Recognitions and learnings

Maria Dolores Rodriguez, CEO of Senda Ecoway, highlighted the impact of this event for his company and the sector. “We are at the centre of the industrial planet. The best of AI, tools, developers, startups… The inspiration for us today is here, something fundamental for the scalability and development of a key sector for us,” he commented, valuing Proexca’s support.

For its part, Yurena Escobar, founding partner of Flecher.co, shared advice for future participations. “There are 5 pavilions with the biggest names in the industry. I recommend preparing the meeting agenda to be effective and not overlap, as it represents a unique opportunity,” she said.

Fernando Martin, CTO of Reboot Academy, also stressed the importance of participating in the event. “We are learning a lot, meeting people and taking advantage of the opportunity to publicize the launch of our project,” he said, thanking Proexca for the platform provided.

A strategic sector for the Canary Islands

The technology sector is consolidating itself as one of the key drivers for the economic diversification of the Canary Islands. In the last year, 35% of new establishments in the archipelago have been in this field, also being the sector that has generated the most employment. Participation in events such as the Web Summit reinforces its position as a generator of talent and quality employment in a globalized environment.
