From November 19 to 22, companies from the construction sector in Asturias participated in the Concreta 2024 Fair in Porto, with the aim of promoting their services and products in the Portuguese market.

La Concrete Fair 2024, celebrated in Porto, was established as a key event for the sector of the architecture, construction and engineering. Under the motto “Decarbonization of Architecture and Engineering”, this edition stood out for its innovative approach and its commitment to new trends and sustainable solutions. Asturian companies Farho, Peralte, Gonsán Constructions, Davelco and Lumo Architects were present thanks to an action coordinated by Asturex together with CAC Asprocon.
This participation reaffirms the commitment of the Principality of Asturias to international promotion and reinforces its position as a leading producing region within the European sphere.
During the four days of the event, participating companies had the opportunity to establish valuable contacts with Portuguese institutions and companies specializing in architecture, engineering and design. This effort is part of the International Promotion Plan for the construction sector designed by Asturex for 2024.
The Portuguese market is strategic for Asturias; during 2023, Portugal positioned itself as the fourth most important destination for Asturian exports, reaching sales worth 460,3 millones de euros. The main exported products include foundries, iron and steel, zinc and its manufactures, as well as electrical appliances.
Concreta 2024 not only offered a space to exhibit products related to ceramic flooring or metalwork, but also brought together the main institutions of the sector in Portugal. These types of events are essential to promote cultural and industrial exchange between neighbouring regions.
