Within the framework of 50th edition of Arab Health, held from January 28 to 30, 2025 in Dubai, Andalucía TRADE has led a trade mission with the aim of strengthening the international presence of the Andalusian health sector. This fair, recognised as the second most important in the world after Medica (Düsseldorf), brought together more than 60.000 professionals and 3.800 exhibitors from 180 countries.

The Andalusian participation focused on three strategic axes: to analyse the market to identify new opportunities, promote the regional offer to public and private entities, and establish key contacts with potential clients and strategic partners. In this context, five leading companies in the healthcare technology sector participated actively, carrying out up to 34 meetings with local agents.

Among the participating firms are Cobiomic Bioscience (Córdoba), Plus Vitech (Seville), Biothink (Seville), Pharmamel (Granada) and Inves Biofarm (Granada). These companies have taken advantage of the opportunity to meet with institutions such as M42, part of the sovereign wealth fund Mubadala, and the Institute for Medical and Health Research from the University of Sharjah.

According to reports presented by Andalucía TRADE, the healthcare market in the United Arab Emirates is expected to grow by 6,9% per year, reaching the mentioned 1.300 million by 2026. This growth is driven by factors such as public-private partnerships and mandatory insurance in some emirates.

The event also provided a platform to explore emerging technological innovations that are transforming the healthcare sector globally, including areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics and blockchain.

The initiative has European co-financing through the FEDER Andalusia Operational Program 2021-2027, which underlines its strategic importance not only for the companies involved but also for the Andalusian regional economy.

This action reinforces the ongoing efforts by the UAE government to position its healthcare system among the most advanced in the world within its strategic plan towards 2030.
