Move2Green, CESVIMAP's sustainable certification, arrives in Portugal

 

At a recent event held in Lisbon, Pedro Arroyo, Business Development Director of CESVIMAP, officially presented Move2Green before the Portuguese press. Arroyo emphasized that Move2Green is much more than a simple certification; it is "a tool that works towards the circular economy. This initiative promotes the sustainability throughout the value chain, including suppliers. There are more than 250 certified workshops in Spain," he stated.

 

Move2Green certification offers workshops a valuable online tool for implementing sustainable and profitable practices. The program provides personalized guidelines and concrete proposals tailored to each workshop's needs. Upon completion, workshops receive an accredited certificate and a digital seal, which serves as public recognition of their commitment to sustainability.

 

 

11 Portuguese workshops are already in the initial certification phase.

 

 

Carla Quinteiro, MAPFRE's Technical and Operations Director, emphasized the strategic importance of this initiative for the group. "With the Move2Green certification, we offer our clients a value proposition that is unique in the market. MAPFRE aims to become a carbon-neutral company by 2030 in all the countries in which it operates," Quinteiro explained. The director also highlighted the group's commitment to promoting responsible consumption and reducing waste. "With this mindset, we have defined a new sustainable development goal linked to the work carried out in the workshops that work with MAPFRE," she added.

 

Move2Green assesses the performance of workshops in several key areas of environmental sustainability, including water resource management, minimizing the carbon footprint, sustainable mobility, responsible consumption, waste management and energy efficiency.

 

Although this is a new initiative in Portugal, MAPFRE has high expectations for its leading workshops in the country to obtain Move2Green certification. Currently, 11 Portuguese workshops are in the initial phase of the process.
