La European Accreditation (EA), Together with European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC), have announced the renewal of their crucial strategic cooperation agreement. This reaffirmation of their alliance underscores the three organizations' commitment to advancing European-level standardization and accreditation, directly benefiting businesses, public administrations, and consumers across the continent.

El Dr. Andreas Steinhorst, Executive Secretary of EA, expressed the importance of this renewal: "The extension of our cooperation agreement with CEN and CENELEC It consolidates our shared commitment to providing a robust and reliable accreditation and standardization infrastructure for the benefit of European businesses, consumers, and regulators."

For its part, Elena Santiago Cid, Director General of CEN and CENELEC, emphasized the value of continued collaboration for the fulfillment of European public policies. "The renewal of our agreement with EA builds on a strong partnership that will contribute to strengthening and ensuring consistency in the development and revision of standards for accreditation and conformity assessment, in support of the New EU Legislative Framework (NLF) and the general functioning of the European Quality Infrastructure"," said Santiago Cid. The NLF seeks to optimize the internal market for goods by improving market surveillance and boosting the quality of conformity assessments.
