For another year, the Forum will be responsible for organizing the Spanish pavilion, which will feature 12 national entities.

Nor-Shipping is recognized as one of the most important exhibitions and conferences in the maritime world, serving as a crucial meeting point for technology leaders, industry professionals, and globally renowned organizations. "It's an unbeatable opportunity for companies to showcase their products and forge new partnerships," the Forum stated.

Spanish Presence and International Contacts

Along with the Basque Maritime Forum, the Spanish stand will host 12 national companies, including their associates. Azcue, Centricast, Eremu and Glual Hydraulic Pumps. During the three days of the congress, various strategic meetings will be held with international companies of the sector, seeking to strengthen ties and explore new business opportunities. The fair traditionally attracts Norwegian shipowners, the world's leading maritime companies, shipyards, equipment manufacturers, associations, and port authorities, making it a hub for networking and skills development.

Harpooners: Driving Decarbonization of the Maritime Sector

One of the key points of the Basque Maritime Forum's participation will be the presentation of the European project HarpoonersThis initiative, in which the Forum has actively collaborated with Tecnalia and eleven other European entities, focuses on the decarbonization of the maritime sector.

The Harpooners project seeks to develop efficient and lightweight high-voltage electric propulsion systems for the next generation of sustainable maritime transport. Its goal is to achieve decarbonization of the sector through clean and efficient propulsion systems, focusing on the development of high-voltage battery storage systems for maritime and river vessels. This not only aims to improve the safety, competitiveness, and operational reliability of vessels, but also to optimize their energy storage systems.

Harpooners' research lines cover fields such as power electronics, cyber-secure digital twins, cooling system optimization, and energy storage, demonstrating the Basque Maritime Forum's commitment to innovation and sustainability in the naval industry.
