The Association of Communication Directors (Dircom) and the German Chamber of Commerce for Spain have renewed their collaboration agreement. This pact seeks to strengthen the role of strategic communication as a fundamental pillar for organizations in the dynamic business and institutional environment shared by Spain and Germany, with a particular emphasis on competitiveness and international vision.

In a key move to strengthen corporate communication, Dircom and the German Chamber of Commerce have ratified their alliance in Madrid. The agreement, signed by Miguel López-Quesada, president of Dircom, and Walther von Plettenberg, Managing Director of the German Chamber of Commerce for Spain, establishes a roadmap for the joint organization of activities, such as the Communication Circles, and the dissemination of content relevant to their respective professional communities.
Miguel López-Quesada emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating: “Strengthening this alliance with the German Chamber of Commerce means investing in communication that directly impacts the competitiveness of our organizations. We're not just talking about visibility, but also about influence, reputation, and the ability to anticipate changes in a global environment."His words highlight the strategic value of communication beyond mere exposure.
For his part, Walther von Plettenberg underlined the relevance of communication in the current context, stating: “As of today lCommunication has become a crucial element for competitiveness of our more than 1.100 associated companies" He added that "With the renewal of the agreement between Dircom and the German Chamber, we want to underline precisely this strategic approach to communication and continue offering our companies a space for learning and connection around these key issues.The continuation of this agreement will allow partner companies to access valuable training and networking opportunities in the field of communications.
As a direct result of this renewal, both entities will relaunch the Communication Circles, exclusive meetings designed for members of Dircom and the German Chamber. The first of these sessions, following the signing of the new agreement, will take place on Thursday June 26This inaugural event will focus on analyzing “The new normal for Dircom: AI, automation, and narrative”, exploring through practical cases how innovation is transforming the landscape of strategic communication
