Indra will be responsible not only for the deployment of the system, but also for its maintenance and future developments until 2031, consolidating a long-term technological relationship with Finavia, an entity that manages 20 airports in Finland.
System Implementation A-CDM/i-AOP will offer Finavia a unprecedented visibility and predictability about their flights. This will allow early detection of potential deviations in the schedule, minimizing operational congestion and, therefore, increasing airport capacity. In addition, a significant savings in operating costs and fuel, which will result in a considerable reduction in CO2 emissionsThese benefits will directly impact passengers, who will experience fewer delays and greater certainty in flight times.
A notable feature of Indra's platform is its deployment in the cloud, ensuring a robust ciberseguridad. Will incorporate advanced data analysis and digitalization for more efficient use of information collected from other systems and the automation of operational processes. A crucial aspect, especially in boreal climates like Finland's, is the integration of operational processes. de-icing, which minimizes the impact on ground rotations and operations even under extreme winter weather conditions.
Indra's A-CDM solution will empower all actors involved in collaborative decision-making, providing them with a improved knowledge and more efficient operations management through a flexible interface, accessible even from mobile devices.
This landmark project in Europe positions Indra as a global leader in advanced technology for airport management, with a solution that is particularly suitable for extreme winter weather conditions.
This Indra system will be fully integrated with the Network Manager for the exchange of information on flight arrivals and departures, as well as for the issuance of alerts and notifications. In addition, certified by Eurocontrol and will comply with the 100% of SESAR program specifications, which promotes the Single European Sky. This project also aligns with the new European regulation that requires the continent's main airports to have this high level of integration by 2027, which will contribute to the optimizing air traffic flow throughout Europe.
Jani ElasmaaFinavia's Vice President, responsible for apron and runway operations at Helsinki Airport, expressed his satisfaction: "We are delighted with our collaboration with Indra. An efficient flow of information ensures that airport operations and flights run as planned, which benefits both the economy and the customer experience."
For its part, Lidia Muñoz Pérez, Commercial Director of Ports and Airports at Indra, emphasized the company's commitment: "We are committed to helping Finavia adopt industry best practices and adapt to new European regulations, making Helsinki Airport one of the continent's leading and most technologically advanced airports, thanks to the use of the latest digital technologies, such as data-driven technology, cloud computing, and cybersecurity."
This project not only strengthens Indra's position as world leader in advanced technology for airport management, but also strengthens its relationship with Finavia, to whom it has supplied air navigation systems for the past three decades. reliability of your solution, even in extreme weather conditions, is a key factor in its consolidation in the sector.
