Within the framework of the POCTEP Project

Extremadura promotes cross-border digital trade with Portugal through a new training program.

The General Directorate of Business of the Ministry of Economy, Employment, and Digital Transformation has launched a tender for nearly 40.000 euros to design and deliver a comprehensive training plan.

The objective is to train self-employed workers and SMEs in the region to boost their businesses through cross-border e-commerce to Portugal.

 

This initiative is part of the POCTEP Project 'Cross-Border PAE Network to Support Entrepreneurship and Business', financed by the European Regional Development Fund (SPRING). The call, which seeks to improve the competitiveness of Extremadura's business community, will be open until September 3 for the submission of bids.

 

Comprehensive training for the digital age

 

The training plan, valued at €39.948,80 (excluding VAT), is aimed at entrepreneurs, managers, and staff in key areas such as sales, marketing, and ICT. The training will be delivered in various formats to meet all the needs of today's market:

 

  • Blended learning courses: Three courses will be offered focused on the online business management, the digital marketing industry and using digital tools for business growth.

  • MOOC Courses: Three massive open online courses (MOOCs) will delve into advanced topics such as Artificial Intelligence for business management, the digitalization of self-employment and tools for business digitalization.

  • Specialized Webinars: Ten webinars will be held addressing crucial aspects of e-commerce, including ciberseguridad, cross-border logistics, taxation, digital invoicing, and internationalization strategies.

This project, which has partners such as Extremadura Advance and the Alentejo Regional Coordination and Development Commission, seeks to strengthen trade ties and economic development between Extremadura and the Portuguese region of Alentejo.
