This event is considered the most important in the industry in Europe and a key showcase for the internationalization of Valencian talent.

The initiative, promoted by the Ministry of Innovation, Industry, Trade and Tourism, seeks to consolidate the global presence of a constantly growing sector. According to Ester Olivas, General Director of Entrepreneurship and Internationalization, this is the second international promotional action of the year for the industry, following its participation in the fair Games Developers Conference (GDC) of San Francisco.

"Our goal is to facilitate access by studios in the Valencian Community to publishers, investors, and international platforms, as well as to generate business-to-business (B2B) meetings that open up new opportunities," said Olivas.

Strategy and global visibility

The Valencian delegation, which includes renowned studios such as digital sun y Groovel Studio, has been integrated into the Spanish Pavilion under the slogan "Games from Spain", a strategy coordinated with the ICEX - Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade which optimizes networking with business contacts.

The presence at Gamescom not only seeks to sell licenses and find partners, but also to gain greater media visibility. "The fairs act as a global showcase. The attendance of specialized media and streamers at the booth of Ivace+i International It is essential for our studies to gain worldwide recognition," explained the director.

Participants and scope of the fair

Among the studios that represent the Valencian Community are Brave Squad, digital sun, Cosmic Spell, GG Tech Entertainment, Groovel Studio, No Spoon Lab, and Red Throne Studio, along with representatives of Valencia Game City.

Gamescom 2024, the previous edition, attracted nearly 335,000 visitors from over 120 countries and 1,462 exhibitors. The high foreign participation, exceeding 70%, underscores the importance of this event as a meeting point for the global video game industry.
