This honey, produced exclusively in the region of Asturias, stands out for its unique characteristics derived from the local flora. Its color varies from light amber to very dark, and it is distinguished by a dense texture and intense aromas and flavors that reflect the richness of Asturias' natural environment.

The PGI seal not only certifies the quality of the honey, but also protects the ancestral practices that local beekeepers have passed down from generation to generation. Their deep knowledge of the environment and the use of traditional methods are key to obtaining the different varieties of high-quality honey produced in the region.

With this new addition, the European register of protected products, known as eAmbrosia, expands its list to more than 3,659 designations. This recognition underscores the importance of preserving and promoting the excellence of regional agricultural and food products.
