The Regional Minister of Economy and Industry, María Jesús Lorenzana, will embark on a trip to Japan with the aim of strengthening commercial and cultural ties between Galicia and the Asian country.

The councilor's agenda includes her participation in the Day of Honor of Galicia in the Osaka World Expo 2025 and a series of strategic meetings with major Japanese companies.
La Osaka Expo 2025Organized by the International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE) Under the theme 'Designing the society of the future and imagining our lives tomorrow', it serves as the main stage for this mission. During the week of September 16-21, the Spanish Pavilion will host a variety of cultural and gastronomic events organized by Galicia Tourism to highlight the rich heritage of the region.
The minister will have the opportunity to meet with companies of interest to Galicia such as Fujitsu Limited, Orix Corporation or Inaba Foods
In the economic field, Minister Lorenzana will hold key meetings in Tokyo. He will meet with Galician companies already established in Japan and with Japanese companies that have operations in GaliciaAmong the most notable meetings are those scheduled with representatives of Fujitsu Limited, Orix Corporation e Inaba Foods, firms of great interest to the Galician economy.
In addition, Lorenzana's agenda includes visits to the Commercial Office of Spain in Japan, The Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the country and a meeting with the Japan External Trade Organization (Jetro), a government entity dedicated to promoting trade and investment.
The trip underscores Galicia's growing interest in the Japanese market. Recent figures show an increase not only in tourism, but also in regular exports from Galician companies to Japan, which demonstrates the strength of a relationship that is seeking to continue expanding.
