The President of Navarre, María Chivite, described the autonomous community as "one of the best and most complete industrial ecosystems in southern Europe" during a key meeting with Hyundai executives at the company's headquarters in Seoul. The meeting was held to strengthen ties with the Korean company and strengthen the automotive sector in the region.

At the meeting, the president chivite highlighted that the strategic alliance between Volkswagen and Hyundai Mobis, the parent company of the Korean automaker, is the missing piece to consolidate Navarra as a leader in the comprehensive production of electric vehicles in Spain. This collaboration will allow the Volkswagen plant in Landaben, which is investing 1.000 billion euros, to manufacture two new electric models, the Volkswagen ID Cross and Skoda EPIQ.
Hyundai Motor Company, the world's third-largest automotive group, has stated that it plans to launch ten new electric vehicle models by 2027. The president has underlined the importance of this cooperation to boost the manufacture of electric vehicles in the Foral Community, which will generate new jobs and attract more investment to the sector.
In addition to the president, the Navarrese delegation included the participation of the Minister of Industry and of Ecological and Digital Business Transition, Mikel Irujo, and the Director General of Business Development of Infrastructure, Iñigo Arruti.

To conclude her work agenda, President Chivite met with the Spanish ambassador to Korea, Julio HerraizAt the meeting, both parties discussed opportunities for collaboration in strategic areas such as the automotive industry, the agri-food sector, renewable energy, and healthcare, seeking to strengthen trade relations between Navarra and South Korea.
