Aragon consolidates its position as a European logistics hub: ALIA showcases its strengths and collaborative ecosystem to international clusters.

The Aragon Logistics Cluster (ALIA) hosted an important meeting of the European cluster network of the ALICE Technology Platform, held in Zaragoza. The event served to showcase the solid structure and high specialization of Aragonese companies and the region's innovative vocation as a strategic hub for southern Europe in the supply chain.

The CEO of ALIA, Angel Gil, highlighted the importance of the event for the projection of the region: "We want Europe to know the guarantees and solid structure that Aragon offers for operating safely, not only because of its connectivity, communications, or land availability, but also because of the high level of specialization of its companies and a vocation for innovation that places some of our companies as leaders in their areas of activity.".

 

During the sessions, participants have delved into the functioning of the ALIA cluster, sharing good practice and debating proposals for joint projectsGil stressed the need for these forums: "A regulatory framework emanates from Europe that imposes common challenges in logistics and transport, so these forums are essential to share solutions and to build joint projects that make the “more resilient supply chains”.

 

The meeting agenda included visits to key companies in the sector in Aragon, such as novaltia y The Zaragozana, as well as the training and research center Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC)They have also visited the CIFPA, a center for innovation in advanced vocational training that has logistics laboratories and automated warehouse simulators.

 

The actions of internationalization promoted by ALIA are ongoing. This meeting joins other notable 2025 initiatives, such as the recent signed agreement with the Chamber of Shanghai and the China-Spain Chamber of Commerce. In addition, the cluster co-leads the European U-Save project, which seeks to develop a system of drones, powered by hydrogen and electric, for the transport of vital supplies in urban emergency situations.

 

Finally, this event of international projection coincides with the celebration of the 15 anniversary ALIA, which commemorates the anniversary with the special program '15 years, 15 milestones', culminating with the ALIA Logistics Summit, a key event for the sector at the national level, which will take place on October 29.
