The Regional Government of Extremadura has initiated the process of amending the decree governing the "Cheque Exporta" program, with the clear intention of strengthening and improving the aid aimed at facilitating Extremaduran companies' access to international markets. The goal is to offer more robust support tailored to the growing demands and costs of export processes in the current global climate.
The 'Cheque Exporta' is conceived as a fundamental tool to provide companies in the region with a Personalized advice on international tradeThis is realized through the development of a comprehensive internationalization plan, ranging from diagnosis and feasibility analysis to market selection, entry strategy, positioning, international marketing, and a detailed roadmap.

Key New Features to Maximize Impact
The new decree introduces significant changes to maximize the impact on Extremadura's business community:

Expansion of Beneficiaries: The program will no longer focus solely on emerging export companies, but will also accommodate established companies seeking to diversify or open new markets.

Increase in Sales Threshold: The maximum limit on sales outside Spain eligible for aid has been raised to 80%, enabling a greater number of established companies to benefit from the program.

Highest Amount of the Grant: The percentage of subsidy on the cost of the service goes from 70% to 90%. In addition, the maximum amount per file is increased from 2.800 euros to 5.400 Euros, on a maximum eligible investment of 6.000 euros.

Relaxation of Technical Requirements: The technical staff specialized in foreign trade required is reduced to a minimum of one person and external contracting is permitted through association contracts with professionals. ., thus facilitating compliance with the requirements for SMEs and self-employed workers.

Improvement in Processing: Administrative simplification measures are being incorporated to facilitate electronic access and procedural management for citizens, in line with Law 4/2022.
