Extremadura Avante opens call for agri-food companies to participate in the GULFOOD 2026 Fair in Dubai

The Official Gazette of Extremadura (DOE) has published the Extremadura Avante call for proposals, inviting Extremaduran companies in the agri-food sector to participate collectively in the prestigious international trade fair GULFOOD 2026. The event will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from January 26 to 30, 2026.

This initiative is part of the strategy of the Extremadura joint to boost the internationalization and the expansion of regional products in key markets. The call will allow up to five Extremadura companies that meet the established requirements to benefit from the promotional action.

The selected companies will have a stand Individual seating within the 'World Food-South Hall' pavilion, ensuring optimal visibility. They will also receive comprehensive support from the professional services of Extremadura Advance, which covers pre-fair preparation, assistance during the fair, and follow-up afterward, with the aim of maximizing your presence and optimizing the results of your participation as co-exhibitors.

GULFOOD: The Great Global Showcase of the Sector

GULFOOD is recognized as the most important agri-food fair in the Persian Gulf and Middle East, and an essential reference point for the global food and beverage industry. Its previous edition reflected its magnitude with over 5.500 exhibitors from 129 countries and over 200.000 professionals from 190 nations.

The event attracts top-tier buyers from the sector, including wholesalers, retailers, supermarket chains, catering, importers, and catering businesses. The joint participation, coordinated by Extremadura Avante, will offer Extremadura companies an unparalleled platform for market exploration, establishing strategic business contacts, and consolidating or introducing their products into new territories.

The application period will open tomorrow and close on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Interested applicants will have six business days to formalize their participation.
