The person in charge of presenting the award was Joseph Louis BonetBonet, president of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and, in turn, honorary president of Freixenet itself, highlighted his deep connection with the company: "It has not only been, and is, the company in which I have developed my business activity... but it has also allowed me to dedicate myself, and now more than ever, to institutional matters, to defending the general interest and to serving business and society."
The award was collected by Enore Ceola, CEO of Freixenet Mionetto USA, representing the global wine group, which thus consolidates its position and trajectory in the US market.
The celebration in Miami also served to honor other prominent figures. Ivan Tornos, president and CEO of Zimmer Biomet, was distinguished as "Business Leader of the Year".
Furthermore, the Chamber recognized the institution's foundational and historical work by awarding Raúl Valdés-Fauli, founder of the Spain-United States Chamber of Commerce, already Julian Linares, former president of the same.
The Ponce de León Awards, established in 2011, seek to recognize the trajectory, effort and achievements of companies and executives who promote the development of trade relations between Spain and the United States.
