Asturex promotes the participation of 16 Defense and Security companies in FEINDEF 2023

Together with the Asturias Hub Defensa cluster, the Asturias technology business association for the development of the defense industry “Ingeniero González Hontoria”, offered their products and services at two stands.

In order to publicize the potential of Asturias as an industrial region of the Defense and Security, the Principality of Asturias Foreign Promotion Society, SA (Asturex), organized the group participation of 16 Asturian companies at the Asturias stand at the fair FEINDEF 2023, from May 17 to 19.

 

The objective is to promote the international promotion of the Defense and Security sector in this important International Fair held in Madrid. In addition to the participating Asturian companies, the Asturex stand was attended by the Asturias Hub Defense, Asturias technology business association for the development of the Defense industry; initiative “Engineer González-Hontoria”, a hub made up of 29 members, including large companies, SMEs, start-ups and technological innovation centers.

 

The space was distributed in two adjacent stands, 18 meters each (A33 and A35), located in Pavilion 8 of IFEMA, created with a turnkey design that enhances the visibility of all participating companies, the Hub and Asturex.

 

Asturias Day at FEINDEF

 

On May 18, the Asturias Day at FEINDEF which was attended by the Minister of Industry, Employment and Economic Promotion of the Government of Asturias, Enrique Fernandez, the General Director of Innovation, Research and Digital Transformation of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and University, Iván Aitor Lucas del Amo, the Director of the Institute of Economic Development of the Principality of Asturias (IDEPA), Eva Pando and the General Director of the Principality of Asturias Foreign Promotion Society, SA Asturex, Bruno Lopez, in addition to other Asturian authorities and companies, as well as various national and international Authorities.

 

During the event, the capabilities of the 40 companies of the association were presented in the development of emerging technologies related to advanced manufacturing and 3D printing, robotics, artificial intelligence, unmanned ground vehicles, drones, physical combatant protection systems, advanced textiles, meta-genomics to improve physical and cognitive capabilities of members of the Armed Forces or cybersecurity.

 

The FEINDEF International Defense and Security Fair, organized by the FEINDEF Foundation, is the only fair in Spain in the Defense and Security sector institutionally supported by the Ministry of Defense, and is positioned as the most important Defense and Security event held in Spain, which opens to the world offering new business opportunities: 40.000 m2 exhibition, with more than 450 exhibitors from 20 countries and 100 foreign delegations in attendance.
