Asturian companies who plan to start or expand their presence in international markets They have an appointment on February 9 and 10 at the 21st edition of the International Meeting Point by Asturex, in this, its first digital edition due to the pandemic.
The objective of this important event is to connect markets, offering first-hand information to participating companies about the opportunities for your sectors and services across 60 markets most in demand by Asturian companies for its high potential for opportunities.
For that, Asturex makes available to you 58 consultants from its Foreign Network and legal services collaborators at origin and destination, through a system of previously arranged virtual appointments at no cost to companies. In this way, they will be able to get a preliminary idea of the possibilities of their products and services in the target markets.
El #21PEIAsturex will begin on Tuesday, the 9th at 9 a.m., with the opening ceremony from the Presidency headquarters, in which the president of the Government of the Principality of Asturias, Adrian Barbon Rodriguez, will advance the new lines of work of the regional government in 2021 to support the internationalization of the company. The presentation will be attended by Belarmino Feito Álvarez, president of the Asturian Federation of Businessmen and Teresa Vigón Arvizu, general director of Asturex. With the development of this initiative, the Government of Asturias, through Asturex, continues to promote the Asturian company's going abroad, offering a wide range of services adapted to its situation and needs.
The opening ceremony will be followed by a presentation on “Current trends in internationalization”, By Mauro F. Guillén. The Asturian sociologist is a political economist, educator in Hispanic American business administration, Zandman professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Director of the Penn Lauder Center for Education and Research in International Business.
The next day, Wednesday, February 10, a virtual round table will also be held on the challenges of the internationalization of Asturian companies in a scenario of uncertainty, in which they will participate Fernando Castro, general director of the Metal Structures Division at Gonvarri Industries, Sergio González Zapico, export area manager at NormaGrup Technology and Yolanda Suárez Castaño manager of the Ace Coatings company.

This edition includes a legal advisory panel on internationalization processes with the presence of approved offices both national and foreign.
Participating companies will also be able to hold personalized meetings with the IDEPA Group on business advisory programs, public financing (subsidies, equity participation, guarantees, participatory loans) and support for innovative and technology-based entrepreneurs.
