Among Andalusian companies and entities, Extenda-Andalucía Exportation and Foreign Investment last week awarded the Wings awards for the Internationalization of the Andalusian Company to seven companies, among which we highlight Atlantic Copper, Aertec, Queraltó and the Confederation of Businessmen of Andalusia.
The award for the exporting company was collected by Atlantic Copper in the category that rewards that firm that has consolidated its international positioning in the last five years, mainly through the percentage of exports over total turnover and the opening of new markets.
Atlantic Copper, SLU is a Huelva firm established in 1970, whose activity is the comprehensive use of raw materials containing valuable elements. These raw materials are primarily, but not necessarily limited to, concentrated metal ores and recycled metal materials. Its sole shareholder is the North American multinational Freeport-McMoRan 1993 since.
Today, Atlantic Copper - whose foundry is the only one in Spain and the third largest in Europe - has positioned itself as a benchmark for industrial sustainability. In the last decade it has invested 100 million euros in environmental improvements and has reduced the energy consumption of the Huelva Metallurgical Complex by 36%, which places it at the head of the foundries in the world with the lowest energy consumption per ton of molten copper. . Aertec Solutions receives the award for its implementation abroad. It is an international technology company specialized in the aeronautical sector, based in the province of Malaga. It was born in 1997 and today carries out its activity in airports, the aerospace industry, and defense. For the latter two, it designs on-board systems for aircraft, unmanned aerial platforms and system guidance in both the civil and military fields. It has light tactical UAS of its own design and technology, such as TARSIS 75 and TARSIS 25, for observation and surveillance applications, as well as support for military operations. Likewise, it designs, manufactures and deploys systems for the digitalization of work environments and automation of functional tests, under the global concept of the smart factory.
Aertec Solutions dedicates more than 30% of its turnover to exports. For this, it has offices in Spain, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Colombia, Peru, United States and United Arab Emirates. With these delegations it serves the markets of Europe, Latam and the Middle East mainly.
Aertec Solutions maintains an intense relationship with Extenda to support its internationalization strategy, with his participation in 169 actions since 2003. His participation in actions such as fifteen commercial missions to Brazil, United States or Canada; 67 days; multiple editions of Multilateral Club; and 20 fairs, such as ADM or Ila.
The company also participated in the Alas Awards in 2006 and 2008 in the Export Initiation category, being a finalist for Málaga both years.

The award in the International Ecommerce category was received by Grupo R. Queraltó for its good planned and systematic use of electronic commerce, and other online promotion and communication tools, such as social media.

The Confederation of Businessmen of Andalusia (CEA) received the award in the category of'International Career'. The CEA is the most representative business organization of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, established in 1979 and with a presence throughout the Andalusian territory, integrating more than 180.000 companies and self-employed workers of all sizes and from all sectors of activity, through its more than 750 territorial and sectoral organizations.
