The Spanish tile sector reaffirms its solid commitment to the American market with an outstanding participation in Coverings 2025, the leading floor and wall covering trade show in North America.
This year's edition, which is being held in the Orange County Convention Center Orlando From April 29th to May 2nd, there has been a notable increase in Spanish presence. The surface area occupied by national companies has grown by 8% compared to the last edition in Orlando (2023) and by 27% compared to the event in Atlanta in 2024Seven of the participating companies are attending this important event for the first time.
Organized once again by ICEX Spain Export and Investment, the Spain Pavilion It has become a key point for showcasing the innovation and quality of Spanish tile. Of the 73 companies, 71 belong to the ceramic floor and wall tile and auxiliary industries sector, while one focuses on bathroom fixtures and fittings, and another on natural stone.
During the fair, various promotional activities are taking place to showcase the trends and value of Spanish tile. These include a press conference for media outlets specializing in design, interior design, and architecture, an information session for architects and designers, and a meeting with industry influencers.
In addition, the prestigious awards ceremony will be held «Tile of Spain Award of Excellence«, which recognize the work of the main trading partners of Spanish brands in the US market.
Export figures support the growing importance of United States for the Spanish tile sector. In 2024, sales of ceramic floor and wall tiles to this country reached €470,2 million, representing a 3,1% increase over the previous year. Currently, the United States is the leading destination for Spanish tile exports, representing 13,5% of the total.
Coverings thus consolidates its position as an essential event for Spanish companies, allowing them to establish direct commercial contacts with distributors, architects, designers, and influencers, generating crucial orders for the rest of the year. Participation in the fair is part of the Promotion Plan for the Tile sector in the United States, jointly promoted by the Spanish Economic and Commercial Office in Miami, ICEX and ASCER under the brand "Tile of Spain". This initiative seeks to strengthen the sector's brand image and highlight the advantages of Spanish ceramics over other materials.
