The event was attended by experts from Cofides, the Arola Group, the Amec Association and the spanish company mespack, who shared their knowledge and experiences on investment, logistics, customs and establishing companies in the United States.   

 

Investment in the United States

 

Teresa Madrigal, manager of the Internationalization area of codes, explained the company's different lines of business and how they support Spanish SMEs and companies in their process of CapabilitiesMadrigal highlighted the sectors of activity that are most favourable for investment in the United States, which include the industrial sector, services, technology and agri-food. He also presented success stories of Spanish companies that have invested in the United States with the support of Cofides.   

 

Logistics and Customs

 

Alejandro Arola, president of the Arola Group, offered an overview of the logistics and customs aspects that Spanish companies must take into account when exporting to the United States. Arola explained the importance of choosing the Incoterm the proper import process and the guarantee of tariffs. He also highlighted the importance of rail transport as a means of internal transport in the United States.   

 

Experiences of Spanish companies in the United States

 

Marc Fernandez, attached to the General Management of Amec, and Guillem Clofent, Managing Director of Mespack, shared their experiences on the implementation and success of Spanish companies in the American market. Fernández highlighted the importance of the value proposition, product quality, customer service and adaptation to American culture. Clotet shared the lessons learned by Mespack during its expansion in the United States, such as the importance of a gradual strategy, agility and the team.   

 

Economic and regulatory climate

 

Clotet also assessed the current economic and regulatory climate in the United States, highlighting the country's economic strength and the legal security it offers. However, he also noted the importance of being attentive to the tariff policy and geopolitical changes that may affect international companies in the United States.
