Banco Santander and CIDOB launch the Future Leaders Forum

A space for dialogue and exchange between young talents

The first edition of the Forum, which will be held in online format, focuses on global technopolitics and aims to reflect on the impact of new technologies and digitalization on political and social realities at a global level.

Banco Santander and CIDOB (Barcelona Center for International Affairs) They join forces with the aim of detecting and promoting dialogue between future global leaders in different areas of political, social and economic life through the implementation of the program Santander-CIDOB Future Leaders Forum. This was stated by the heads of both organizations after the signing of the collaboration agreement, which points out the importance of creating spaces that serve as an exchange and speaker for young talents.

 

The objective is to generate a space for dialogue that offers an overview of how future leaders approach the most relevant issues that will mark the international agenda in the coming years. "From Banco Santander We are committed to education as an engine of change in society and we are convinced that this forum will serve to give a new approach to our young people for the world to come,” said Cecilia Yuste, director of Institutional Relations at Banco Santander. “This initiative will allow us to anticipate the vectors of change together with young leaders and foresee how we are going to think, face and try to solve the most relevant challenges on the international agenda in the coming decades,” he noted. Future Leaders Forum: Global Technopolitics

 

The international order today faces multiple challenges, particularly in the technological and digital spheres.

 

For this reason, the first edition of the Future Leaders Forum Technopolitics Global: Technology, the Next Global Order and the Role of the EU aims to reflect on how new technologies are incorporated into our social and political realities, and what the relationship will be between technology and digitalization and global political and economic orders.

 

This edition of the Future Leaders Forum It will be held on Friday, November 13, from 10 a.m. to 11am. in online format. The event, which will be broadcast live on the CIDOB Youtube. It will feature Alejandro Córcoles, Manager at INTERTEK Cecilia Yuste, Director of Institutional Relations at Banco Santander; Cristina Columbus, director of the Digital Future Society, and Pol Morillas, director of CIDOB. Carmen Artigas, Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, also wanted to be present at this Forum through an intervention recorded expressly for this event.

The event is designed to engage an audience of European, national and local actors from all fields – political, social, economic and cultural – and serve as a speaker for these young talents, providing them with a space for the exchange of ideas and networking. The event will be completed with an audiovisual product that will include the vision of the 35 selected young people in the form of video capsules.
