BBVA increases its team of foreign trade specialists to support Spanish SMEs in their internationalization process.

BBVA has decided to increase the number of specialists in foreign trade with the aim of providing accompaniment, support and assistance to small and medium-sized Spanish companies throughout the entire process of their international operations. The financial institution is aware that companies must take into account numerous factors when making decisions in this area, such as the selection of a country, the form of distribution, pricing, positioning and possible obstacles.

BBVA makes international trade specialists available to its clients to help them make sound financial decisions., such as the selection of payment methods, collection, financing and exchange insurance. BBVA specialists in this field have both technical knowledge and familiarity with creativity, details, key features and customer uniqueness.

The increase in the entity's resources in this area will allow Spanish SMEs to successfully manage all the elements necessary to carry out their international operations.

BBVA is a leading financial entity in the Spanish market and with extensive experience in the sector. Last year, it supported Spanish companies with 28.102 million euros destined for their internationalization, both in financing products and services and guarantees for expansion in markets. foreigners, as well as solutions to reduce the risks associated with international activity.

In order to delve deeper into the topic, we interviewed Juan Jose Fuentes Saiz de Bustamante, director of Foreign Trade for SMEs and Pelayo García García, responsible for the Commercial Plan and Value Offer of International Solutions of BBVA

According to Juanjo, about the context that has motivated the bank to increase the resources available to companies, “The companies that have survived the crises best are those that have international trade activity. …that crises are by nature temporary, in Spain there is a level of aging of the population that causes consumption to suffer. The way out, once again, is to seek an expansion of the market. Therefore, SMEs and in general all companies are increasingly clear about the advantages that international trade brings to them.”

Juanjo adds that BBVA “What it has taken now is a step forward to increase the number of specialists who are in contact with these clients, to help them and provide the best solution to solve these barriers” to the international business that he describes throughout his intervention.

For his part, Pelayo tells us that BBVA offers its clients a series of services related to international trade, known as Comex Advisory, a block of measures that includes means of payment, guarantees, financing and currency coverage. Reinforced by agreements with various platforms and external providers to offer consulting services, digital markets, transportation services and digitization tools and even simultaneous translation such as that offered by Asitel services.

BBVA's objective is for companies to be able to make informed decisions and have the necessary support to carry out their international operations successfully.
