The next June 8, the Club of Excellence in Sustainability, a business association that is committed to sustainable economic growth from the perspective ESG (Enviromental, Social and Governance, for its acronym in English), organizes the largest Benchmark on Circular Economy in Spain, with the participation of the Ministry for Ecological Transformation and the Demographic Challenge. This day, which will be held at the corporate headquarters of ENDESA at 9:00 a.m., it will become a space for dialogue to determine the practices that companies should follow to stop the advance of climate change.
The event will have the main sponsorship of companies of the caliber of ENDESA, REDEIA, Saint Gobain and BASF. These renowned firms will also be joined by another 26 companies that will present their good practices in the circular economy during the day to demonstrate to the Spanish business community that operations with a positive impact are possible, without having to give up profitability. Among others, the objective of these conferences is to bring together various companies that can collaborate with each other to make possible the conversion of waste into reusable products.
Circular economy: Spain, a European benchmark
In a context in which companies try to adapt to social changes, the circular economy is increasingly present in company processes and, therefore, new ways of sustainable production are being proposed to achieve their objectives regarding change. climate.
Over the last few years, the circularity of the economy has been gaining ground in the business sector until it has become a more than competitive strategy for all those companies seeking a production and consumption model committed to the environment. It should be noted that, today, circular economy practices carried out in Spain They are among the most advanced at the European level.
It is for all these reasons that this meeting, organized by the Club of Excellence in Sustainability, will be the largest space for dialogue generated around the circular economy held in Spain to date. All of this with the aim of guaranteeing economic circularity that will present the keys to industrial “reinvention” with new business opportunities.
“The current consumption model puts sustainability and the fight against climate change in check. "The circular economy represents a great opportunity to have a positive impact on this issue, also allowing us to identify business opportunities with great projection," explains Juan Alfaro, general secretary of the Sustainability Excellence Club. “We have decided to create a kind of 'think-tank' capable of addressing the challenges posed by this reinvention of the national business fabric, through real examples,” Alfaro concludes.
